1985年5月20、21日，40位重金属艺术家聚集在美国加利福尼亚州好莱坞A&M录音室，录制了这张重金属群星专辑“Hear N' Aid”，为非洲饥荒难民筹款。1986年发行（现已绝版）。由Ronnie James Dio和Vivian Campbell发起。包括Dio, Quiet Riot, Iron Maiden, Mötley Crüe, Yngwie Malmsteen, Twisted Sister, Queensrÿche, Blue Öyster Cult, Dokken, Night Ranger, Judas Priest, W.A.S.P., Journey, Y&T, Vanilla Fudge等等。这才是摇滚乐和重金属真正的力量！
